Dan Reynolds, PhD

Through over 20 years as a high school teacher, university professor and education researcher, Dan Reynolds, PhD, brings out the best in students and their tutors. Beyond Invested Learning, he is currently a senior education researcher at SRI Education where he conducts multi-state research improving K-12 reading outcomes. He was also an associate professor and chair of the Department of Education at John Carroll University, where he trained hundreds teachers. He’s published 25 peer-reviewed education research articles and a book about helping kids comprehend tough texts. He holds a PhD in Education from Vanderbilt University with a specialization in statistics, as well as a Master's in Education and a Bachelor’s in English from the University of Notre Dame. He loves being a father of six great kids, an outdoors explorer, and a baseball fan.

Angela Fasick, MFA

Angela has over 25 years of teaching experience with students from 5 to 85. She graduated with a BA from John Carroll University and an MFA from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop at the University of Iowa. Most recently, she was the Director of Studies at Laurel School, where she also taught Upper School English and worked closely with College Guidance. Angela has deep experience partnering with families as they navigate the path through secondary school and on to college. She takes great satisfaction in helping students to achieve their potential and to write their own stories. Every day, she is amazed and heartened by the energy, resiliency, and commitment exhibited by students from across northeastern Ohio, and she believes in their power to make changes for the better.

Bella Judge, BS

Bella is originally from Akron, Ohio, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Middle Level Education, with content focused in English and Math, from The Lebron James Family Foundation School of Education at the University of Akron. Currently a licensed in 4th-9th grade math, she teaches at Chagrin Falls Intermediate School. She is committed to fostering a love of learning in all students, and has taught ages 6 - 25. She has a special interest in developing adolescent mathematics and problem-solving skills, as well as helping juniors and seniors navigate the college admissions process. Bella approaches tutoring with humor, patience, and encouragement. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, a good round of trivia, and attending dance classes in the greater Cleveland area.

Laura Reynolds, M.Ed.

A high school English teacher, administrator, and tutor for 17 years, Laura has a bachelor’s in French and English and a master’s in Education from the University of Notre Dame. She understands how high school kids learn, builds strong relationships with students and families, and coaches them for peak performance. A stay-at-home mom of six, she understands kids’ needs, teams with parents and families, and offers masterful expertise. She’s passionate about reading, advocating for immigrants, and good French cuisine. She’s fluent in French and Spanish, too.
